About Us

Text Box: Parents who allow a home party on prom night are doing a disservice to the students.

Don’t give them a choice & they won’t have to choose
where to go!

Everyone will be
at the
After Prom Party!
Text Box: Methodology:

Our method to achieve our objectives is to throw a party so enticing, that teens want to attend and desire to stay. It has to be a memorable party that they talk about weeks after the event to keep them coming back and to give under-classmen something to look forward too.

Our Committee organizes a themed, fun filled evening of games, music, prizes, entertainment, and food all FREE to the students.

Every junior and senior (whether attending the prom or not) receives a free ticket. Tickets are also given to prom guests who do not attend our school, or who are an under-classman.

All bags and coats are coat checked in a secure location and no outside food or beverage is allowed in.

Students enter and exit through one door, signing in and out. They are not allowed to re-enter once they leave.

Our chaperones include parents, teachers, local plain clothes police, and members of the community.

Chaperones help run activities and are posted at emergency exits so no one can slip out.
Text Box: Statement:

Without a well organized drug and alcohol free activity, teenagers may participate in illegal activities increasing the possibility of driving under the influence.

The party is an immeasurable benefit to the youth of our region however; our community’s recourses are stretched . Last year our donations were down by $6,000.00 and we anticipate a fund-raising challenge this year. Adequate funding is essential for this indispensable event. Our attendance increases each year as well as Text Box: Objectives:

To keep our students out of cars, hotel rooms, & home parties.
To Keep them away from the temptations of drugs and alcohol.
To have a safe & fun event.
To increase our attendance each year.

Our party’s time frame requires the students to arrive directly from the prom location. Due to N.J. Provisional Driver License Restrictions, the teens must be in the party between 12:01 Text Box: Milestones:

The Middle Township After Prom Party began in 1993 with about 50 teens, a few games, prizes, movies and pizza.

In 2004 we serviced just under 300 students and over three year periods we have seen a 40% increase in attendance.

The party has continued to expand every year growing into a major event which last year (2007) hosted nearly 400 students.

Text Box: Evaluation Performance:

Prior to the advent of the MTHS After Prom Party, the teens in our community did not have an organized alcohol and drug free party to attend. The growth in attendance at our party is testament to our success.
Our targeted level of activity is to have every MTHS junior, senior, and prom guest attend our party. If they are at our party, then they are safe.
100% of funds available for this project provide this gift to the students. By doing so we may be giving the most precious gift of all –
THE GIFT OF A TOMORROW
Text Box: Evaluation Efficiency:
The After Prom Party has a direct positive impact on the task operations. Teens who attend our After Prom Party do not have the opportunity to participate in drug or alcohol activity. Statistically, their participation in the party will keep them and others on the road safe.
Our attendance numbers prove we are successful in keeping the children off the roads on prom night. The long term impact is simple –
WE SAVE LIVES!
